Owner / Operator of Rail Holidays Australia, Stephen Mckelvie has been managing a Domestic Travel Agency for NSW Rail since 1990 and started their very successful Escorted Rail Based Tours in 2000. When NSW Rail recently went through a major restructure, the ceased all guided tours. With endorsement from NSW, Stephen was able to keep his job, but start Rail Holidays Australia to cater for the popular rail holidays.

In August 2016, Stephen decided to put all of his time into Rail Holidays Australia to help support the strong demand for rail holidays in Australia.
